ANIMAL KEEPER (PART TIME)

20 hours per week

Salary range - £14,045 - £15,346 PA, pro-rata for part time hours

 

Applications are invited for the position of part-time Animal Keeper at Bristol Zoo Gardens. The working period is 20 hours a week (based on a fortnightly working roster) including some weekend and Bank Holiday working.

 

Applicants should be educated to at least GCSE level and to include English and a biological science. Having the DMZAA qualification (or equivalent) will be an advantage.

 

The successful applicant will be based in the Aquarium and must have a broad practical knowledge of working with fish and aquatic invertebrates, preferably in a public aquarium situation. The ability to work independently, as well as within a team, will be an advantage.
