Position: Sr. Software QA Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration : Full time

Job Description:
The Reticle and Photomask Inspection Division (RAPID) is the leading manufacturer of advanced Reticle Inspection systems. We provide state of the art inspectors for the reticle and fab market. We are
based in San Jose CA and have employees around the world

Responsibilities:
In this position the engineer will help designing and develop a new Software Test Automation framework utilizing simulators and our inspection systems. This will include developing test code in C, C++  or test scripts in Java, Unix, Linux (CentOS/SUSE10), and Windows. The engineer will work closely with the SCM group, Developers, and SQC team to implement a new build and test process with the goal of having nightly software builds tested at the unit, integration, and system level. The selected engineer will maintain the system test automation framework; will own pruning the automated regression test suite, adding new regression tests, and developing the test framework to accommodate new products. The engineer will also work as a consultant to the development team to help them improve their unit tests automation.

Career path growth includes but is not limited to Design Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applications, Marketing, Manufacturing Systems Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's Level Degree in Computer Science or related degree with 10 or more years of experience in test automation frame work development
2) Expert level understanding of Black box, Gray box, and White box  testing techniques applicable to object oriented and structured programming methodologies
3) Expert knowledge of software development life cycles i.e. Waterfall, SCRUM, DOD V..etc
4) Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux, and Windows operating system
5) Must be able to work with changing priorities and schedule pressures.

Working knowledge of:
a) IBM's Rational Team Concert (RTC)  is a plus
b) RTC Source Code Control is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:
a) Bachelor's Level Degree in Computer Since or related field with 5 years of experience in test automation development.
b) Good verbal and written communications skills is a must.  The candidate will be working with a culturally diverse team.
c) Good understanding of Black Box, White Box and Gray box testing techniques applicable to object oriented and structured code

Working knowledge:
Software development cycles i.e. Waterfall, SCRUM, DOD V..etc
Unix/Linux, and Windows operating system
Source Code control tools like Clear Case, Rational Team Concert, RCS, CVS..etc
Must be able to handle work priority changes, and work under schedule pressures The candidate must be willing to work late nights and weekends for up to three months at a time. National and International
travel may be required but should be less than 25% of yearly work hours.

The candidate needs to have a strong positive personality to present and implement new test ideas and approaches. The candidate will work in a cross functional team and needs to be able to get their buy in on new test ideas when necessary.
