Jobs Technical Director, Engineering Descriptions : Direct technical activities within and outside Baxter to support the OPTIMIZE Fluid Systems Program global vision. This vision incorporates new product/process design, or unique scientific theory, which includes multiple disciplines and has broad business applications. Provide advice and technical expertise to multiple disciplines to meet business plans.
1 Lead technical program including managing the product development process from concept to commercial launch for new global platform having a significant impact to the health care industry.
2 Initiate, develop and lead new organizational processes required to accomplishment R&D global program goals.
3 Understand and integrate information from more than one discipline and apply to complex problems requiring linkages to other functions
4 Participate in global task forces as required and manage stakeholder relationships requiring clear and concise explanations of R&D contributions as part of the overall global business objectives
5 Held accountable for critical strategic and operational decisions (e.g. milestones, technical due diligence)
Qualifications:
1 Ability to utilize creative thinking and teamwork to resolve conflicts that cross team, division or location boundaries. Need to leverage high learning adaptability for evolving program goals
2 Ability to facilitate complex technical dialogue and to explain in clear and concise terms both within the R&D function and with other functions to accomplish program goals
3 Ability to influence without direct authority both within R&D function and with other functions to accomplish program goals
4 Ability to remove organizational barriers to outstanding performance.
5 Ability to ensure leverage of container closure system core competency across Baxter.
Education and/or Experience: BS in relevant engineering discipline, MS preferred, 15+ years of experience.
