Children’s Librarian - Groton Public Library

Children’s Librarian - Groton Public Library is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time position serving children and the community. Responsibilities include creating and conducting library programs, story times and book discussions; selection and maintenance of materials; building relationships with schools, homeschoolers and other community partners; and using media and technology to promote reading and learning. Providing reference services to residents of all ages at the library’s unified public service desk is also required. This position reports to the Manager of Library Public Services; full time, 35 hours/week, evenings and Saturdays included. $28.29/hr. Requires MLS; two years’ professional library experience in children’s services desirable. Must have coursework in child development and/or two years of employment experience working with preschool – 5th grade children.
