Job Description:
Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting KLA-Tencor's analysis software products, providing engineering analysis capabilities for defect and films data in high volume semiconductor manufacturing environments. Includes projects related to new product introduction: definition, characterization, alpha testing, beta testing. This candidate will be responsible for various pre and post sales application support activities engaging with customers in defining problem statements, resolving customer issues, generating best known method documents and other training material, and transferring product knowledge to KLA-Tencor's worldwide customer base. Applications will work with customers to publish papers at industry symposiums or in technical journals.
This candidate will be involved in testing new features and developing new applications on current or future versions of our products, provide technical support in the installation, development and implementation of customer applications, and support customers at their site or in division for any escalation. The candidate will also be required to work towards characterization of product performance and for providing clear feedback to the engineering team for product improvement, especially during Alpha/Beta periods. Strong technical skills are required to understand the functionality and capabilities of the analysis product and for providing root cause analysis and potential solutions for customers. Travel will be required.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Candidate must have a degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related fields. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing with expertise in the overlay and lithography areas. Must have excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be self-driven, yet a strong team player. Software and database connectivity skills are a plus.
BS or higher degree in Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
Strong technical skills are required to understand fab process development issues and be able to provide potential solutions for customers. Such skills include (but are not limited to) techniques for statistical analysis as well as the ability to quickly pick up and understand customer requirements and processes.
Willing and able to travel within the US and internationally.
Experience with applications development environments is a plus.
Experience with bare wafer processing and metrology is a plus.
Experience with FabVision or Klarity Defect analysis software is a plus.
Experience with Surfscan, WaferSight, Brightfield / Darkfield Defect Inspection or similar tools is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience.

Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
