Reference Librarian I - Guilford Free Library. 24 hours per week - $18.84 hourly - no benefits. Strong public service skills are required for this position. Duties include: assisting patrons in selection, organization and interpretation of materials; instructing patrons in the use of the library’s collections including online databases, downloadable materials and evolving technologies; performing duties relating to maintaining and administering the Library’s various information systems, including the library website; acting as a library representative to professional organizations, Town officials, community groups, schools and businesses. This entry-level professional position requires an ALA-accredited Masters of Library Science. Candidates who are close to completion in an MLS program may be considered.
