Responsibilities
- Responsible for the CAD/BIM management and support for the office
- Train and Mentor staff on CAD/BIM Applications, primarily Revit and AutoCAD
- Mentor local Revit leadership
- Develop project specific implementation strategies
- Collaborate with local teams to insure Revit success
- Evaluate project team development and identify new leaders to extend local support, provide feedback and grow the pool of Revit talent firm-wide
- Provide ongoing Revit support and moderate internal Revit discussion forums
- Extend Gensler BIM standards and design templates to maintain quality and consistency of design environment and deliverables
- Coordinate the expansion of existing Revit content and detail libraries
Collaborate with Gensler offices worldwide to develop and support project implementation strategies, grow team expertise and ensure project successWork with Firmwide and local resources to support AutoCAD-based projects and guide teams through the transition to a model based design process Assist Project Teams at Project Startup. Assist teams in developing initial BIM/CAD Model Assist the Office Technology Manager as needed, to provide basic IT support to office staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent, with three to five years experience in design or construction practice
- Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and related BIM software
- Solid understanding of CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD
Familiarity with design applications such as 3D Studio Max, SketchUP, NavisWorks and the Adobe Creative Suite. - Articulate and persuasive communicator able to convey BIM concepts to all levels of design and delivery leadership
- Basic computer support skills
- An entrepreneurial spirit who embraces change and constantly seeks out new opportunities for creativity and innovation
- Sense of humor and an ability to have fun in a creative environment
