Responsibilities
- Responsible for the CAD/BIM management and support for the office
- Train and Mentor staff on CAD/BIM Applications, primarily Revit and AutoCAD
- Mentor local Revit leadership
- Develop project specific implementation strategies
- Collaborate with local teams to insure Revit success
- Evaluate project team development and identify new leaders to extend local support, provide feedback and grow the pool of Revit talent firm-wide
- Provide ongoing Revit support and moderate internal Revit discussion forums
- Extend Gensler BIM standards and design templates to maintain quality and consistency of design environment and deliverables
- Coordinate the expansion of existing Revit content and detail libraries
Collaborate with Gensler offices worldwide to develop and support project implementation strategies, grow team expertise and ensure project success - Work with Firmwide and local resources to support AutoCAD-based projects and guide teams through the transition to a model based design process
- Assist Project Teams at Project Startup. Assist teams in developing initial BIM/CAD Model
- Assist the Office Technology Manager as needed, to provide basic IT support to office staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent, with three to five years experience in design or construction practice
- Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and related BIM software
- Solid understanding of CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD
Familiarity with design applications such as 3D Studio Max, SketchUP, NavisWorks and the Adobe Creative Suite. - Articulate and persuasive communicator able to convey BIM concepts to all levels of design and delivery leadership
- Basic computer support skills
- An entrepreneurial spirit who embraces change and constantly seeks out new opportunities for creativity and innovation
- Sense of humor and an ability to have fun in a creative environment
