Residential Revit Specialist/Designer - 4Corners Homes - Oklahoma

SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director of Design and Product Development, prepare all standard & residence specific plans in Revit Architecture as directed. Complete a full set of working drawings for the construction of the homes including but not limited to: plot plan, floor plan(s), roof plans, exterior elevations, electrical plans, structural options, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of proficient experience working with Revit Autodesk and AutoCAD software programs on the development of residential construction documents. Proven ability to implement heavy Revit Design Options in residential plan sets. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
  1. Acquire basic knowledge of drawing techniques familiar with architectural drawing practices, skills and familiarity with industry and jurisdictional practices and standards.
  2. Fluent in Revit in the implementation of the following applications; a. Creating and editing residential models b. Project templates and standards c. Project and Shared parameters d. Design Options e. Family components f. Details g. Schedules and keynotes h. Visualization (3D rendering, 3D exploded views, walkthrough)
  3. Coordinate with the estimating and purchasing disciplines to ensure that working drawings are consistent with the approved product standards and specifications.
  4. Revise all plan portfolio information and specifications in accordance with established procedures, and communicate all changes to all affected end users (i.e. sales, marketing, construction, etc.).
  5. Ability to multi-task and handle several projects or assignments at once.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to work independently or in a group setting towards the timely completion of a variety of assignments with aggressive deadlines.
  7. Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook and web browsers.
  8. Requires good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work extended hours as necessary to complete assignments.
  10. Detail oriented, self-starter who works well with others.
  11. Working from preliminary non-standard option sketches and drawings produced by the sales team, prepares readable detailed drawings with some latitude for independent action.
  12. Execute all approved revisions within established time frames.
  13. Perform “in-house” plan check on all drawings to confirm accuracy and compliance with documents standards and government codes.
  14. Ensure consistency between drawings and construction activity, and resolve any discrepancies identified during field observations.
  15. Verify own completed work by back-checking digital drawings files for accuracy and compliance with 4 Corners Homes drafting standards prior to release for construction on all homes to be built.
  16. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Design and Product Development relative to all 4CORNERS departments and personnel to achieve company goals.
  17. Be located (or willing to relocate) within commuting distance of Edmond, OK.

BIM/CAD Applications Specialist - Oklahoma

The Benham Companies, LLC is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm’s BIM/CAD Technologies team in the AE Sector as a BIM/CAD Applications Specialist in their Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing the entire AE Sector CAD/BIM production staff with technical support in multiple Benham offices.


This is a unique position that will report to the BIM/CAD Technologies Director and will be providing top notch technical support, documentation, training and development to the professional and engineering staff in the AE sector which encompasses Architecture, Interiors, Landscape, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural and other disciplines. Information Technology department is another team that this position will work very closely with to provide a complete integrated product to the end-users desktops.

BIM Support Responsibilities
  • Create initial REVIT Project setup with workflow documents.
  • Initiate Model for each project and prepare for production team.
  • Provide BIM/REVIT project kick-off information.
  • Work as part of a BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results.
  • Daily model management administration and maintenance.
  • Provide REVIT Architecture, Structure and MEP desktop support.
  • Over the shoulder training, developing and shadowing to staff.
  • Content creation: Families such as parametric, formula, nested and type catalogs.
  • Work with all disciplines vendors on content download and update to Benham Standards.
  • Support linked views and others in multiple models situations.
  • Integration of REVIT products with other applications (Autodesk, Construction, Cost Estimation).
CAD Support Responsibilities
  • Quickly understand/support all legacy Benham CAD Standards and procedures.
  • Assist project staff in utilization of templates and content.
  • Create dynamic blocks, maintenance of existing libraries.
  • Troubleshoot CAD Plotting Issues: PDF, Printers, Plotters and others.
  • Understand Client-Specific CAD Standards and provide support accordingly.
  • Provide support with 100% internal / external customer service satisfaction.
  • Training in-person and via the web: Standards, software and others.
  • Autodesk products diagnosis and resolution: In-person and via Remote Desktops.
  • Maintain and update standards under direction.
Information Technology Responsibilities
  • Perform hardware testing to ensure best REVIT / CAD performance results on WAN/LAN.
  • .NET / VB / VSTA and Robo-Copy.
  • AutoCAD CUI Customization, configuration and deployment.
  • Autodesk products installation images creation.
  • Log-on scripts, environment variables set-up and group policies.
  • Software installation: Autodesk products.
  • Rendering Farm Implementations: Back-Burner, VRAY, Accurender and 3D Max.
  • Autodesk License Manager set-up, administration and management in LAN/WAN environments.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Architectural Degree plus 4-6 years of experience supporting staff in professional environment.
  • 4 years experience will be substituted for a degree.
  • Eager to support staff with positive attitude and patience.
  • Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize skills to fit the Benham / SAIC IT infrastructure and standards as necessary.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of professional Autodesk products use and support:
    • REVIT Architecture 2011
    • REVIT MEP 2011
    • REVIT Structure 2011
    • AutoCAD 2011
    • AutoCAD Architecture 2011
    • Navisworks: Manage and Review.
  • Working knowledge of design industry workflows, production cycle and priorities.
  • Experience with multiple BIM/CAD roles: training and support mentor, project team member, and strategic operations leader
