BIM Director - Kasian - Vancouver or Calgary

Kasian is one of the largest fully integrated architecture, planning, and interior design firms in Canada. With a network of offices on several continents, we have global reach. Our projects are driven by inspired thinking, which infuses our culture, our interaction with clients, and the spaces we create. Our buildings seamlessly combine function and form to work better for people. They have a story to tell. As a result, they have won awards for excellence in design and achieving top marks for sustainability.

Working out of either our Vancouver or Calgary office, we are seeking a dynamic senior professional to develop and execute a long-term Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy across the Firm. Our goal is to capture the value of BIM to its fullest, well beyond using Revit to produce better projects more efficiently. We are looking for someone to champion BIM integration across all practices within the Firm – in our design and production studios, marketing, and business development- as well as with our consultants, contractors, and clients. Achieving this mandate requires advocating for BIM technology across the Firm so that our digital environment is constantly evolving. Managing a remote team of five BIM support specialists located in all our Canadian offices, you will empower them to ensure that Kasian has the standards, procedures, and skills to help you deliver what we’re looking for.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with demonstrated progressive experience managing increasingly complex BIM projects and programs. Detailed technical understanding of management aspects of BIM including licensing, remote access solutions, and model exchange with consultants is essential. This role is a perfect fit for someone who has had success in working with senior management on strategy execution and driving change to achieve BIM adoption within the Firm.

At Kasian you’ll find highly motivated team members who put relationships first and a firm that recognizes the achievements of our people. Individuals at Kasian don’t just matter…they are valued and celebrated.
