Boom Operator Instructor - Saudi Arabia

The Boom Operator Instructor position will be

responsible for teaching and training Boom

operators on in-flight refueling principles and air

refueling systems. Instructor is responsible for

instructing students in the performance of

aircrew functions and activities according to

flight manuals, checklists, and associated

publications.





Principal Accountabilities

Perform instruction on air refueling

systems.

Perform instruction on aircraft systems

that relate to Boom Operators.

Instruct student in pre-flight, through-

flight and post-flight duties.

Instruct students on air refueling

operations.

Proper equipment operation.

Troubleshooting, analyzing and

correcting air refueling system

malfunctions.

Hold lectures, theoretical and practical

training to trainees.

Perform additional qualified duties as

assigned





Knowledge & Skills

Must be able to speak clearly and present

ideas and information that is clear and

concise.

Previous flying experience on the KC-10,

KC-135, and/or the KE-3A.

Knowledge of aircraft systems associated

with, but not limited to, air refueling

systems.

Ability to obtain and maintain a current

Passport.





Experience & Education

Technical Diploma, 7 Skill Level or

equivalent required.

Five (5) or more years experience as an

instructor.

Completion of the Air Refueling Instructor

Boom Operator Course.

3,000 or more flying hours of which 1,000

hours must be as an Instructor.



Physical Requirements/Working

Environment

Must be able to move/push/pull 50

pounds or more.

Must be able to walk and stand on level

and/or inclined surfaces and sit and stand

for prolonged time periods.

May be required to respond to a wide

variety of operational circumstances,

including extreme weather conditions and

rudimentary infrastructure.

May be exposed to extreme noise from

turbine and jet engine aircraft.

May be exposed to fumes, gas, airborne

particles, chemical mist, vapors, ultra-

violet and infrared radiation.

May be exposed to electrical shock

hazards or work near moving mechanical

parts, vehicles or aircraft.





Travel

Ability to travel domestically and

internationally required.
