Speciality Trainer - Africa

PAE is currently seeking a Specialty Trainer to

support the African Contingency Operations

Training and Assistance (ACOTA) Program.





The Specialty Trainer will:

Provide Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) soldier

skills specialty instruction to African military units

receiving U.S. Department of State's African

Contingency Operations Training Assistance

(ACOTA) Program training.

Instruct and supervise skills training for African

company grade and field grade officers and their

soldiers who shall deploy to PKOs.

Provide Training in the MOS or functional fields of

their expertise.

Train individuals and organizations in military

specialties to include the following disciplines:

Combat Engineering, Signal/Communications,

Level II Hospital units, Medical specialists (Combat

Casualty Care, Trauma Nursing Care, Medical

Planning and Management, Combat Medic and

Emergency Medical Technician, Dentists and

Physicians), Coastal and Riverine units, Airbase

and rear area security units, Logistics specialists

including operators and maintainers of new

equipment, Mortar units, Armor (tank) units,

Mechanized Infantry units, Transport (truck)

units, Pre-deployment administration, Equipment

(to include vehicles) maintenance management,

Equipment supply management, and Military

Police.





Qualifications:

This position requires a unique blend of skills,

experience, and knowledge to accomplish the

goals and tasks of the ACOTA Program. Successful

candidates will possess:

A minimum of 5 years military operations and

training experience (or civilian equivalent) is

required.

Expert level knowledge and experience in one of

the following specialties is required:

Combat Engineering, Signal/Communications,

Level II Hospital units, Medical specialists (Combat

Casualty Care, Trauma Nursing Care, Medical

Planning and Management, Combat Medic and

Emergency Medical Technician, Dentists and

Physicians), Coastal and Riverine units, Airbase

and rear area security units, Logistics specialists

including operators and maintainers of new

equipment, Mortar units, Armor (tank) units,

Mechanized Infantry units, Transport (truck)

units, Pre-deployment administration, Equipment

(to include vehicles) maintenance management,

Equipment supply management, and Military

Police.

Familiarity with standard military training

concepts, practices, and procedures is required.

Subject Matter Expert level knowledge in at least

one U.S. Military Occupational Specialty, Branch,

or Functional Area is required.

A minimum of three to five years of increasingly

responsible experience with standard military

training concepts, practices, and procedures.

Willingness and ability to live and work in remote

and austere field environments is required

Ability to pass a pre-employment screening

process to include background check and drug

screen is required.

Experience with U.S. State Department, United

Nations (UN) Chapter Seven Operations, and

Africa Union (AU) Operations are highly desired.

Recent U.S. Military combat and/or PKO

experience at the E-5 and above level is

preferred.



A strong background in OCONUS program

operations focused on training local national

military personnel and units preferred.

Prior experience in working with AU and/or UN

Peacekeeping Missions strongly preferred.

Experience operating in hardship conditions is

preferred.
