Qualifications:
At least ten years of experience in military,
civilian law enforcement, civil defense (fire
service), or a combination thereof.
Five years of military, law enforcement or civil
defense experience with a training background
At least one year overseas experience in any
combination of military, law enforcement, or
similar security service training and/or program
implementation
Two years of experience related to training
design, delivery and evaluation. Strongly prefer
foreign experience in a high-risk Middle-Eastern
locale
Two years of experience in a role of personnel
management and supervision
Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
Two years of experience in event planning,
coordination, and execution
Experience as a military, law enforcement or civil
defense instructor in an academic environment
Training background will include actual
classroom or tactical forum teaching experience,
evaluation of courses and instructors, training
administration and/or instructor development
experience, either in military or police training
institutions or an educational setting at the
college or university level
Experience in developing, conducting,
managing, and evaluating training
Experience in working with/supervising
contracted training providers
Personnel management and scheduling
Project management
Administrative oversight of project, personnel,
and fiscal resources
Employee training, mentoring, and discipline
Managing training teams
Curriculum development, review, and delivery
Demonstrated, applied knowledge of Adult
Learning Theory, Facilitation, Motivation,
Behavioral Science, Strategic Planning and
Leadership
Expertise in Training Needs Assessment, Gap
Analysis, and Instructional Design
Skills
Proven ability to coach, teach, and mentor
others
Proficient at basic office computer programs to
include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to work in difficult and
possibly dangerous environments, preferably in a
Middle-Eastern locale
Education
Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice/law
enforcement or related field
Possess instructor certification from a recognized
academy, college, university, or a military service
Advanced training and experience in
Instructional Design, Training Delivery,
Performance Evaluation, or Leadership and
Supervision of personnel is preferred
Law Enforcement command training through
FBI, PERF, SPI, Northwestern, etc. is a plus
Other Related Job Requirements
Ability to pass the pre-employment screening,
medical, psychological, physical fitness, and
obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT)
certification.
