Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the access control,

screening and vetting of all vehicles and

personnel entering the compound, defending

access to the premises and providing an

active incident response capability.

• Conducts thorough vehicle and personnel

searches to secure the compound from

weapons, explosives, contraband, and other

threats.

• Evaluates threatening situations and

appropriately calls for the deployment of the

Quick Reaction Force (QRF), Counter Assault

Team (CAT), and Explosive Detection Dog

(EDD) teams.

• Patrols assigned areas on foot and takes

action to investigate, report, prevent, or

stop; suspicious activity, hostile actions, fires,

vandalism, theft, inappropriate behavior, or

safety hazards.

• Performs the day to day protective security

functions as specified in daily post or general

orders.

• Monitors and authorizes entrance and

departure of residents, employees, visitors,

and other persons to guard against theft and

maintain security of the premises.

• Escorts or drives motor vehicles to

transport individuals to specified locations

and to provide personal protection.

• Responds to alarms and dispatches; takes

appropriate actions based on the situation.

• Provides overwatch at ECPs and towers to

neutralize or delay, external threats and to

allow reinforcements to move into a position

of superior authority over the threat.

• Operates communications equipment,

monitors and relays radio traffic,

communicates with the TOC as applicable.

• Communicates with outside entities on a

variety of voice and text based

communications technology including local

cell phone, regional, and global satellite

phone, and UHF/VHF radio.

• Drafts and completes Incident and Serious

Incident reports as required using the proper

required formatting structure.

• Maintains and is responsible for all issued

gear and property.

• Performs preventive maintenance,

functions checks, and inventories of all

issued equipment and gear.

• Operates in strict accordance with the Law

of Armed Conflict (LOAC), Rules for the Use of

Force (RUF) and know the differences

between Rules of Engagement (ROE) and

RUF.

• Assists guests needing directions or

compound information.

• Observes activity and traffic in assigned

areas to enforce compound rules/regulations;

alerts guests or visitors of infractions, or of

emergencies.

• Checks doors and windows of buildings to

ensure they are secured notes in written log

any unlocked doors/windows; submits

information to supervisor.

• Performs and executes all required orders,

directions, guidance, and requirements of

Standard Operating Procedures and General

Orders to a standard that meets or exceeds

expectations.

• Always conducts him/herself in the most

professional manner when dealing with

guests, visitors, employees, coworkers, and

supervisors.

• Assists other team members with their

duties.

• Always endeavors to give excellent

customer service.

• Fully complies with confidentiality and

applicable policies.

• Immediately reports any suspicious

activity, hostile actions, altercations, elevated

security situations, elevated interactions with

guests, disruptions, situations requiring

assistance, perceived surveillance, infractions

of property polices, infractions of corporate

policies, unauthorized photography,

violations of SOP's, suspicious local activity,

significant pedestrian/vehicle traffic changes,

suspicious behavior of guests/staff/guards/

guest staff/visitors/vendors/or local populace

to immediate supervisor and security without

delay.

• The employee will be required to perform

any other required, requested, or related

duties and responsibilities in accordance with

the instruction and direction of their

immediate Supervisor and the Senior

Management Team.

Qualification

Requirements, Qualifications, Certifications, &

Experience:

• Education: Successful completion of

Secondary School

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of

security, police, or military experience

• Previous qualifications and knowledgeable

operations of the following weapons systems:

AK-47, PKM, RPD, and various sidearms

• Previous experience operating and

communicating detailed instructions and

Situation Reports via radio and cell phone

• Computer Experience: Not Required

• Language: Fluent in written and spoken:

Fluent in written and spoken Dari and

Pashto. Effective English speaking abilities

required
