Assistant Security Manager , Malaysia

Job Description

Operational

Patrols lobbies, corridors, and public rooms,

confers with management, interviews guests and

employees, and interrogates persons to detect

infringements and investigate disturbances,

complaints, thefts, vandalism, and accidents.

Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe

conditions, and missing or inoperative safety

equipment.

Warns or ejects troublemakers, and cautious

careless persons

Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes

accident reports.

Notifies staff of presence of persons with

questionable reputations.

Assists management and enforcement officers in

emergency situations.

Enters and checks rooms of guests suspected of

leaving without paying bill to confirm suspicious

and to seize any remaining personal property.

Complies and records data for Security Control.

Monitors and maintains electrical and computer

control panels.

Assists guest and employees in hotel operations

and service.

Coordinates and directs other security officers

when performing dispatch procedures.

General:

Attends and contributes to all Meetings as

required

Provide a courteous and professional service at all

times

Willing attends hotel training sessions as

scheduled to improve skills and knowledge

Handles guest and employee enquiries in a

courteous and efficient manner, reporting

complaints or problems if no immediate solution

can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow

up.

Is knowledgeable in statutory legislation in

employee and industrial relations, understanding

and strictly adhering to rules and regulations

established in the Employee handbook and the

hotels policies concerning fire, hygiene and health

and safety

Ensure high standards of personal presentation

and grooming

Maintains positive guest and colleague

interactions with good working relationships.

Exercise responsible management and behavior

at all times and positively representing the hotel.

Respond to requests to undertake any reasonable

tasks and secondary duties and to changes as

dictated by the hotel, industry and company





Job Requirement:

Preferable prerequisite is knowledge of the Hotel

industry

Secondary education with two years related

experience and/or training; or equivalent

combination of education and experience.

Knowledge in Hotel Security Procedures, Fire

Emergency and Evacuation, and Bomb Threat

procedures

Qualified in first aid and equipment

Good reporting and investigation skills

Good computer skills particularly in the use of MS

Office

Fluent English – written and spoken; multi-lingual

desirable
