Job Description:
Human Resources partners with management to attract, develop, engage and retain highly qualified people globally to meet the business’ needs.
Reporting to the Director of Global Compensation, the Regional Compensation & Benefits Manager will be responsible for ensuring KT’s programs are aligned to attract, retain and motivate its employees, and to help achieve its goals and vision.
This position will lead the development of regional compensation and benefit plans, work with benefits consultants, local and regional HRBPs and other key stakeholders, including Corporate HQ. Building strong alliances with the Senior HR team and Country Presidents to achieve C&B program goals and process improvements will be key.
Responsibilities:
Compensation - APAC
1) Ensures our total compensation programs and practices are competitive and are strategically aligned to the business
2) Monitors, industry benchmarks, develops and executes the company’s compensation programs against relevant industry, market data and key competitive analysis firms
3) Evaluates programs and information on legislation, trends, advances and/or new technologies through research and detailed analyses; makes recommendations for changes and improvements
4) Leads the annual salary review process within the region, to include updating the economic and business climate, analyzing local market data, and working with the HRBPs and local managers to identify key factors potentially impacting any recommendations or decisions (e.g., turnover data, “at risk” job families or positions).
5) Partners with the regional HRBPs to market and communicate compensation philosophy, programs, policies, and guidelines. Updates and maintains all resource guides and training materials.
Benefits
1) Ensures company benefit offerings remain competitive. Engages Global/Regional benefits consultant firm(s) to perform regional market analysis in accordance with local renewals, benchmarking and marketing protocols. Helps establish metrics and dashboards.
2) Works with local brokers to obtain best products for insured and non-insured benefit program requirements, including Pension/Retirement funds and other types of plan provisions.
3) Monitors performance of overall benefits packages from a Total Remuneration Strategy perspective, including evaluation of sick leave, vacation policies, allowances etc.
4) Manages the non-US benefit renewal process in-partnership with the local HRBPs; ensures the Renewal Map is kept up-to-date, renewals are planned and reviewed in a timely manner; monitors participation in appropriate benefits surveys.
5) Ensures the global governance approval process is followed in partnership with Corporate HQ, and updated as required
6) Reviews proposals and changes with region HRBPs, Controllers, and Region/Corporate leadership, as and when appropriate
7) Manages multinational pooling via growth strategy of the existing pool(s) and establishment of new potential global pools, where appropriate
8) Supports global wellness program manager in wellness programs and in coordination with region HRBPs
9) Ensures compliance with local and regional legislations
Preferred Qualifications:
1) Excellent analytical thinking skills, with demonstrated experience influencing management; proven track record of building consensus and business partnerships
2) Current knowledge of C&B trends and legal requirements
3) Lead and build consensus with regional stakeholders
4) Effect change through relationship-building with Senior HRBPs and Country Presidents
5) Demonstrated program/project management skills, leading global as well as regional projects/initiatives
6) Detail-oriented, with ability to set priorities and multi-task
7) Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; expert knowledge of Excel.
8) Prior experience with HRIS systems and report creation; PeopleSoft and/or Market Pay a plus
Minimum Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; advanced degree a plus
2) Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in regional HR handling Asia Pacific countries; benefits experience with the European Community, India, and/or Israel a plus
3) Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), and/or GPHR designation preferred
4) Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
5) Multiple language skills are a plus
6) International travel required, up to 30%, primarily within APAC
7) Action-oriented, Strong customer focus, Good presentation and training skills, Good problem solving skills
8) Ability to work with all levels of employees and management
