Job Requirements:Experience & Education:
•Bachelor's degree in a law enforcement related
field
from a regionally accredited educational
institution.
•Desired: Master's degree in a law enforcement
related
field from a regionally accredited educational
institution
•Minimum of five years of experience at the
upper
management or executive levels in a law
enforcement
organization of more than 100 sworn officers.
•10 years of experience in patrol,
investigations, and
administration functions exclusive of the previous
requirement.
•Knowledge of current state of the art police
practices
and significant experience in developing,
managing, and
assessing law enforcement programs.
•Minimum of one year of international police
experience. Desired: 2 years experience as a
supervisor
in international policing.
•Law enforcement command training through
the FBI,
Police Executive Research Forum (PERF),
Southern Police
Institute (SPI) or Northwestern preferred.
Qualifications:
•U.S. Citizenship.
•U.S. Secret security clearance is required, with
the
ability to obtain a Top Secret. May deploy with an
interim clearance.
•Must have the ability to effectively
communicate in
English (read, write and speak). Proficiency in
other
languages can be desirable, but not required (i.e.
Arabic, Kurdish, Albanian, Turkish, French/Creole,
Spanish, Pashto, Farsi, Dari)
•Must have the ability to work with Microsoft
Office
products (WORD, EXCEL, Power Point).
•Must possess excellent interpersonal and
communication
skills.
•Excellent health; must be able to pass a
physical exam
as determined by the employing agency for the
job
category, as well as a psychological exam.
•Must be able to pass a required company
background
investigation.
•Must either possess a current U.S. passport or
have
the ability to obtain one prior to deployment.
