Required Qualifications Include:
U.S. Citizen
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Completion of DoD course J-830-0015
Valid U.S. Driver’s License
Valid U.S. Passport
BA/BS from accredited College or University plus 5 years of experience, or 10 years of experience in Force Protection/Physical Security.
Work Experience Requirements to obtain position:
Ten (10) years of experience in Navy Physical Security and Law Enforcement (will consider other branches and/or civilian Law Enforcement experience) or five (5) years of experience and BA/BS from accredited college or university may be substituted for five (5) year’s work experience. 10 years of experience will satisfy the BA/BS requirement. Civilian Law Enforcement experience must include documented training of an accredited Law Enforcement Academy that provided over 600 hours of Police tactics, patrol operations and procedures.
A working and functional knowledge of military staff functions.
International, restrictive and /or hostile environment operations
Ability to Conduct Vulnerability Assessments, Risk Assessments, Criticality Assessments, Threat Probability Assessments, Threat Capability & Priority Matrix, maintaining Random Anti-Terrorism Measure program, prepare Pre-Planned Responses, maintain Mission Essential Vulnerable Areas (MEVA’s), manage Installation Barrier Plan, expert in managing Camp’s CVAMP program, prepare for Joint Staff Integrated Vulnerability Assessment and maintain POAM for inspections and discrepancies.
Basic knowledge of EVMS, BATS, GEEKS and HARMONY Biometrics Systems.
Shipboard Security Tactics in coordination with Harbor Patrol.
Force Protection Training Team Leader and Key and Lock Custodian
Patrol Procedures, Budget Development, Access Control Procedures, Operational Management, and Personnel Management.
Coordinating physical security infrastructure requirements with Public Works, Navy and Base Operating Services (BOS) Contracts.
Preparing Individual Force Protection Plan for military and civilian personnel traveling to other countries.
Proficient use of PC’s and related software packages such as: Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, Internet, Excel, Word and Power Point.
Preferred:
Experience with Military Ashore or Afloat Security Law Enforcement and Force Protection Operations and U.S. Navy security tactics.
Extensive background in Force Protection, Law Enforcement and Harbor Patrol.
Excellent command of communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to prepare and confidently deliver briefings.
Ability to write point and position papers as well as any other presentations.
