Job Introduction:
Reporting to the AME Regional CEO, the Managing Director, G4S India will oversee and develop the G4S business in India, focused on driving growth, providing, strategic direction and ensuring sustained business profitability, including operations and service improvement, quality control, staffing, and health and safety.

The G4S India business has recently been re-structured in an effort to accelerate the development of the Group’s businesses by: exploring new opportunities, capitalizing on our strong market position to provide even better service to our customers, and demonstrating G4S’s commitment to India as an active and socially-responsible corporate citizen. The Managing Director will possess the right mixture of leadership and intellectual rigour to lead this transformation process.

With an annual turnover in excess of £200m, headcount of 120,000 and over 150 regional offices and branches, this role is responsible for achieving the ambitious growth and development plans for G4S India including: annual business targets on gross margin, organic revenue growth, cash generation and PBITA while controlling overhead costs, maximizing operational efficiency and ensuring customer retention and growth.

Based in New Delhi (Gurgaon), India the role will involve regular in-country and sub-regional travel and occasional travel across the AME Region.

Role Responsibility:

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute, results-driven business leader, capable of acting as a catalyst for positive change by:
Developing and communicating a clear vision and comprehensive strategies that will generate the required changes for the business to ensure its long term profitability and sustained growth.
Formulating strategies of business growth by developing new services and exploring new market sectors.
Directing, formulating and / or approving policies processes and procedures on service quality and pricing with a particular focus on customer relationships.
Planning, preparing and monitoring the business plan and budget, driving superior performance in order to achieve organic growth, improve gross margins and PBITA and ensure sustainable profitability.
Delivering financial returns, adhering to brand values and being recognized as the leader in providing Security Solutions in the market.
Managing and ensuring excellent customer relations and thereby establish long term partnerships and high levels of customer retention.
Developing and maintaining strong communications mechanisms so that key issues confronting the Company are promptly identified and focused on.
Reporting to shareholders and the Board on organisational plans and performance.
Executing the responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards, as determined by Local Law and referenced in the Company Business Ethics policy.
Developing long term strategic relationships with stakeholders in government, labour organizations and other stakeholder institutions.
Working collaboratively across the business and with the AME & Group Head Offices ensuring the best interests of the whole organization.
Ensuring development and application of best practice policies and operating practices throughout the operation, to minimize operational risk.
Identifying safety risk exposure and ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent death and injury.
Exercising due care and prudence in the management of the Company assets.
Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as Group policies and procedures
Managing staff performance by motivating, training, coaching and mentorship. Creating a culture for success and performance by maintaining close contact with the workforce through key managers to ensure feedback opportunities, good morale, a high level of employee engagement and a high standard of staff integrity and honesty.
Building strong internal and external business relations based on an open and inclusive approach to business and working within a global organization.



The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in delivering on corporate expectations, demonstrating a high degree of commercial acumen and being able to exercise sound professional and business judgment based on:
A history of excellent operational results in an executive/senior management position in a large and complex services organization including both B-2-B and B-2-C structures, and experience in Security or similar services sector would be an advantage.
8-10 years of experience in senior management level in a security/service management business with an MNC both within and outside of India.
Post Graduate degree level qualification or equivalent, preferably an MBA and possessing strong numerate, inductive reasoning and analytical skills.
Proficiency in the ability to identify key issues in large, complex business environments, analyse and understand causation and context, crossing the barriers of languages and culture and then model a range of options and develop appropriate responses.
Demonstrable track record in applying risk management principles successfully.
Strong commitment, leadership and managerial skills.
Experience in change management and the development of growth strategies and strong operating processes and mechanisms for sustained performance.
Good command of both English and Hindi is essential (both written and verbal) coupled with solid negotiation, influencing, presentation and sales skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience working collaboratively and the ability to challenge positively, debate confidently and build productive relationships in culturally diverse environments.
Ability to maintain strong ethical and professional values.
Flexibility and adaptability to rapid organizational and environmental changes.
Self-confident and well-rounded with the capacity to understand others point of view and cultural differences and deal with those differences diplomatically.
