Position Summary:
Provides complex training programs for customers and in-house employees.
Supports the USG, Combined Security Transition Command - Afghanistan (CSTC-A) and NATO Training Mission - Afghanistan (NTMA), mission to develop and implement a mentoring, training, and operational support capability for the Counter Narcotics Police - Afghanistan. Training for members of the Afghanistan CNP-A, to include specialized investigative and operational units of the CNP-A. Training for members of other law enforcement and/or security units of the Government of Afghanistan

Responsibilites:
Defines and identifies program needs with sales, marketing, logistics, personnel investigation and program and operations departments.

Based on identified needs, develops outline of training program and reviews with appropriate management personnel.

Conducts training programs on all topics and designs and develops training program elements/modules.

Tests trainees to measure their learning progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training presentations. May work with management to modify tests to ensure effectiveness.

Based on this evaluation, modifies training for future sessions as necessary.

Senior NCO (E-7 and above) with Instructor Training Certificate (ITC) desired or an extensive Law Enforcement background- SWAT qualified preferred. Experience should demonstrate the ability to instruct and to conduct tactical training exercises/events. Must possess the ability to edit, draft and write various types of curriculum related documents (lesson plans, tests, critiques, and evaluations). Must be able to work with minimal direction, to multi-task, meet deadlines, and set priorities in keeping with CNP-A Program standards and expectations. Must have and demonstrate a strong proficiency in MS Office and Acrobat. Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion. Must be in excellent health and be able to deploy globally to include hostile environments (Afghanistan). Work environment varies from an office setting to austere conditions. The work schedule is a 60-hour work week; however, in some high-tempo periods, extended hours may be required

Formulates training schedules and is involved in the creation of training policies.

Utilizes knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services to ensure training is relevant and effective.

Oversees and reviews the development of teaching aids including training manuals, demonstration models, reference materials and visual aids. Reviews these products with management to ensure they are effective.

Works with management to employ best practice training principles to ensure program effectiveness.

Provides guidance and direction to less experienced trainers utilizing strong technical and training skills.

Desired Qualifications: Military background or DoD work history equivalent, Drug Enforcement Agency, Border Patrol, and/or Law Enforcement preferred. Potential employee with Combat experience in Operation Enduring Freedom(OEF) / Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) desired.

Education And Experience:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and 12-15 years of related experience.

Physical Demands:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
