Legislative Assistant -- House Member Personal Office

Congressman Gus Bilirakis (FL) is seeking an experienced and innovative Legislative Assistant to handle domestic issues with an emphasis on health care policy. Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of professional experience dealing with policy issues such as health care, agriculture, transportation, education, labor, and the judiciary. Candidates should be self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented. Duties include, but are not limited to developing legislation; monitoring relevant Floor, committee, and regulatory activity; regular interaction with constituents; and advising the Congressman and senior staff.
