Responsibilities:
Manages KLA-Tencor's Internal Audit team to design and perform worldwide operational, fraud and Sarbanes-Oxley audits. Works with senior management to perform company-wide enterprise risk assessments and develop annual operational audit plan for submission to the audit committee of the company's board of directors. Hires, trains and develops employees on the audit team; is a strong exporter of talent into other parts of the company. Sets and manages audit schedule, ensuring that audits are resourced appropriately and completed on schedule with high quality. Engages and manages third-party audit firms when additional resources or special expertise is needed to perform audits.
Responsible for publishing high quality, clear audit reports to senior management. Drives to make KLA-Tencor's operating results better by working actively with divisional and functional management worldwide to implement practical solutions to audit findings. Monitors, evaluates and drives implementation of audit recommendations by auditees.
Ensures that the Internal Audit team follows best practices, especially as described in IIA guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's level degree in accounting or related finance field with at least 7 years of experience or Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience. Or, equivalent.
a) Combination of "big 4" consulting experience and industry experience would be ideal.
b) Exposure to SAP ERP environment preferred.
c) CIA/CISA/CPA preferred, and MBA desirable.
d) Experience in technology industry highly preferred. Highly effective finance professional who inspires confidence in colleagues and within the broader organization; excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others in sensitive situations without damage to the relationship.
Minimum Qualifications:
Good understanding of US GAAP, and COSO internal control framework is a requirement. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including communication, motivation and guidance, and a track record of delivering high quality and timely results.
Resourceful, flexible and strategic with excellent analytical abilities.
